In this exclusive Q&A, we hear from Farah Benis, Digital Content & Development Director for the ASIS UK Chapter, about the upcoming ASIS UK Autumn Seminar and what delegates can expect, including insights from Anekanta CEO Pauline Norstrom, Senior Information Security and Data Protection Expert, Mike Gillespie, and Marcus Oldroyd, Founder of The Bureau Consultancy. The event, which will take place at the Mercure York Fairfield Manor Hotel on September 5, is open to security professionals across all levels.
Can you explain a little about the venue and why it was chosen?
We chose this location because we haven’t hosted an event in York yet, and while the majority of our events take place in London, it’s important for us to offer venues that are easily accessible to our members outside of London as well. York provides a central location that’s convenient for many of our members, and for those traveling from London, it’s just a short journey. The Mercure York Fairfield Manor Hotel offers the perfect blend of historic charm and modern facilities, making it an ideal setting for both learning and networking.
Who is this seminar for? Who can attend?
This seminar is designed for security professionals across all levels, including those in leadership roles, specialists in information security, data protection, AI, and anyone involved in crisis management. It’s an excellent opportunity for those looking to enhance their knowledge, gain insights into current trends, and connect with peers in the industry. Members of ASIS UK Chapter, as well as non-members who are interested in the topics covered, are welcome to attend. We encourage anyone with a vested interest in the security sector to join us.
What can delegates expect to gain from visiting?
Delegates can expect a full day of insightful presentations from leading experts in the field. Our lineup includes:
