Full conference programme for ITS World Congress 2022 now live

ITS America Events today announced the full programming schedule, including plenaries and diverse programmatic sessions, international forums, and product demos for the ITS World Congress (ITSWC) 2022. Hosted in partnership with ITS America, ITS Asia-Pacific, and ERTICO-ITS Europe, and produced by RX, the global intelligent transportation systems (ITS) conference and exhibition will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from September 18-22, 2022 (Conference: September 18-22 | Exhibit Hall: September 19-22).

“This year’s theme, Transformation by Transportation, underscores the transformative leadership role the ITS community is taking in the transportation space,” said Jaime McAuley, ITS World Congress event director at RX. “Our show program and vendors reflect the diversity of the industry and how the global community is prioritising ITS solutions.”

The programming will kick off at the Opening Ceremony, which will feature a panel discussion with regional leaders on California’s ecosystem of transportation innovation and Los Angeles’ approach to transformational mobility.

The plenary program at ITS World Congress will provide attendees with critical insights from global leaders. On Tuesday, September 20 the focus will be A Safe Systems Approach to Advancing Equitable Mobility, while Wednesday, September 21 will discuss Transportation Decarbonisation, Equity, and Technology: How ITS Advances a Sustainable and Socially Just Future and the highlight for Thursday, September 22 will be A Smarter, Digital Future: How ITS Technology Serves as the Digital Backbone to Delivering Opportunity to Communities.

Other key sessions in the line-up include 5G: One of the Pillars of Transformation; Automated Vehicle Policy; Digital Twins: Intelligent Transportation Systems at the Core of Use Cases for Infrastructure; Ensuring Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion of ITS: Current and Future Actions; Equitable and Accessible Transport; Fair Mobility as a Service (MaaS); Fostering Tomorrow’s Workforce in Today’s World; Innovations in Mobility; ITS for Underserved Communities: An Overview of the US DOT’s ITS4US Deployment Programme; Sustainability and Resiliency with Mobility Network Management; and Transportation’s Future Spectrum Needs.

Two additional highlights are the popular State DOT Roundtable taking place on Monday, September 19 from 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM PT, supported by premier sponsor HNTB Corp and supporting sponsors Velodyne Lidar and IBI Group, that features officials from state DOTs across the country, and the US Department of Transportation (USDOT) plenary session, where agency leaders from various modes at USDOT will share the latest updates during a panel discussion on Wednesday, September 21, 8:00 AM -9:30 AM PT.
